Hello 2016! Happy New Year you lovely little cherubs.
To kick start the year I thought what better than my New Year make up look?
I received the Zoeva En Taupe palette for Christmas and I have been super excited to use it so finally for New Year I chose to create a look that is super pretty and effective for brightening the eyes.
To begin I simply took ‘Stitch By Stitch’ over the whole lid to give a plain base which really makes the colours pop. I used Spectrum Collection’s Stubby Shader Brush and blended with their Medium Fluffy Shader. Using the same Medium Fluffy Shader, I blended a small of ‘Hour By Hour’ into the outer third and above the crease.
Using Spectrum’s Fluffy Pencil Brush I took ‘Handmade’ through the crease and the outer third of my lid and blended with ‘Stitch By Stitch’. To get the deeper purple colour in my crease and outer V I took a tiny amount of ‘Exquisite’ to begin with through my crease and outer V creating an almost winged effect with it. Using a clean Medium Fluffy Shader, I blended this out while building on the colour where necessary. Using this same brush I also took a tiny amount of ‘Old Master’ over the top of ‘Exquisite’ to add some shimmer.
To add shimmer to the lid, I used my original Stubby Shader and pat ‘Spun Pearl’ over the top of ‘Stitch By Stitch’ and in the inner corner of my eye to brighten and widen my eyes. Along my lower lash line I took a mixture of ‘Old Master’ and ‘Exquisite’ on a Spectrum Baby Buffer.
I was going to use a pink lipstick with this look as shown in 3 photos, but as you can see from the final photo I decided on a nude brown colour so that the attraction would be the eyes with this look. I opted for Shade 45 from the Rimmel London Kate Moss Nudes collection. I also went along my upper lash line with a bit of eyeliner to make my lashes look thicker.
