Today I’m going to be doing my first review. I thought I’d do it on something that I’ve recently started trying and just say what I like about it, what I don’t like etc. Today’s review is going to be about the Rimmel London 25 Hour Foundation!

I saw this foundation on one of my favourite YouTuber videos, velvetgh0st. The way she described her skin seemed pretty similar to mine. I get quite oily skin sometimes, meaning some foundations are AWFUL on my skin – they either go patchy or come off in a couple of hours.

The main thing that intrigued me to use this was the fact it said 25-hour wear, despite heat or sweat. Another thing was the fact it has an SPF of 20, which although isn’t amazing, it is better than some foundations I’ve used before. Before trying out this foundation I was using a MaxFactor 3-in-1 foundation and I just wasn’t enjoying it at all. I found it sunk into my skin and wasn’t giving me any coverage whatsoever, so when I saw Gabbie talking about this I thought I’d pounce straight on it!

I’m not going to lie, I will be totally honest here – this foundation is an utter godsend. It is literally the BEST foundation I have ever tried! It gives me great coverage; it’s super lightweight too, so it doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing anything. Some people may find this could cause them to worry it’s not lasting or has come off, but I love it as I feel like it looks and feels really natural and not caked on. There is nothing worse than a foundation that makes you feel like you’re under a mound of dirt even though it’s just your foundation.

I get the shade ‘Ivory’ which is literally the exact colour of my skin. My concealer is also Rimmel, and if there’s something they’re really good at in my eyes it’s the matching of skin shades. I found the Ivory shade in my old foundation to be really orange, but that could’ve been where it wasn’t the right foundation for oily skin.

This foundation also has Comfort Serum in it, which is hydrating meaning it doesn’t dry out easily. I find that this is my main problem with most foundations – they aren’t hydrating – making them dry on your skin and end up feeling horrible after a day or night out.

Finally, this most obvious question about this product – does it really last 25 hours?

I never wear foundation for 25 hours – I don’t know anyone that does. I put it on when I wake up and I take it off when I’m about to shower or when I get in and know I’m not going back out. To get to the point, it does actually last me for the 10-12 hours I’m wearing this each day. I have full coverage all day; it doesn’t dry out and doesn’t make my skin feel gross after a few hours wearing it. I don’t need to top it up, or powder throughout the day, it does exactly what it says on the bottle.

It is available at most, if not all, drug stores and can be found easily to order online. For ¬£8 a bottle, this is an absolute bargain too – especially if you’re on a budget! Depending on how many days a week you wear it and depending if you like to take it off and redo your makeup before an evening out I’d say a bottle would last roughly 2 months. I’ve only been using it for about a month, around 5 days a week for work or going out and it seems like hardly any has been used. I’m seriously loving this foundation so much at the moment, and would recommend anyone struggling to find one to try this one (if you haven’t already of course). Although I said at the beginning I’d include things I don’t like about this product, I can’t fault it at all so far.

I understand that you may not have enjoyed using this product if you have tried it in the past, but remember this is a review of my experience using it.

Thanks so much for reading! Feel free to let me know how you got on using this foundation, or if you now want to try this. I always welcome feedback, so please let me know if you’d like other reviews of other products and I’ll do my best to help you out!

Again, thank you so much for reading this. Please share around with your friends too!

See you guys again soon, bye!
