A lot of people talk about this foundation but aren’t sure whether the money is worth it as it stands on the shelf at £21.50. Well, I’m about to help you out on deciding whether to try it out or not…

I’ve been through so many foundations I’ve lost count; Rimmel London, Estee Lauder, Bourgois, Revlon. The list goes on. I haven’t found one I like quite as much as the MAC Studio Fix.

I have combination skin, which means my skin is dry/normal in areas, and oily in others. MAC have sussed the secret to having a foundation that suits this kind of skin greatly. I’ve had foundations that have gone patchy, orange, pasty, caky – but not this foundation.

The coverage is amazing too! I don’t need any more than the size of a pea on my hand for it to cover my whole face. It manages to cover any imperfection I may have and evens out my skin tone. I use my Zoeva foundation brush to get a better finish, I find when using fingers it can be really easy to over use because you can’t spread and cover as well as you can with a brush.

I use the shade NC15 which is quite a pale shade as I’m basically a ghost. It matches my skin amazingly, and MAC has a wide range of colours so you’re guaranteed to find a match for your skin tone.

This foundation is also amazing if you’re going on a night out as it keeps you flawless all night. It doesn’t make you feel caked when hot too, which I find with some foundations.

Basically, this foundation ticks all the right boxes in my books. I would definitely recommend MAC Studio Fix to anyone looking for a higher end foundation. It also works amazingly when mixed with Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.

Stay tuned because my next post will be a review of the Estee Lauder foundation, so I will see you again shortly!
