It’s Autumn! Which means it’s time for purple lips and winged liner to become a staple in my makeup routine. I decided to go for a simple eye look with a winged liner. The focus of this look is the bold lip and glowing highlight. It’s a gorgeous everyday look that’s perfect for any occasion!
I kept the face looking natural and flawless. For foundation, I took a pea sized amount of the Bourgois City Radiance on the back of my hand and used my Beauty Blender to blend it over my face. Admittedly, I did go in with another layer to make my skin look even more flawless and have a bit more coverage. Of course, I used my holy grail concealer – the Collection Lasting Perfection – to cover & highlight my under eyes, nose and forehead. To sculpt my face I took a small amount of Benefit Hoola Bronzer to keep it nice and natural looking. I then finished off my face with some Rockateur blusher.
To keep the eyes super simple I only used two shadows to keep the lips the main point of the look. I used natural colours from my MAC Burgundy Times Nine palette. The first shade I used was ‘Quarry’, which I usually use as a transition shade. I took this all over my lid and through my crease and blended to perfection. To add a bit of definition to my eyes I went in with a tiny amount of ‘Embark’ in my outer v. For my winged liner I used my Ted Baker Eyeliner Pen from the Brilliance of Beauty gift set. It’s so easy to use and creates the perfect wing! To top off the eyes I added some Kiss Lashes in the style ‘Shy’ and topped off with some Revlon mascara.
Finally, the lips. The bold statement of the look. This purple is a gorgeous colour for Autumn. It’s one of the liquid lipsticks I mentioned in my post not too long ago. It’s the MUA Liquid Lipstick in Kooky. I first outlined and contoured my lips with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Obsession. Then I filled my lips in with Kooky. I also put a tiny bit of my Revolution highlighter in the centre of my lips to make them pop a little more. Anyone that knows me will know I’m obsessed with highlight at the moment so I also packed this on my cheeks, eyebrow bone & inner corners of my eyes.
I love this look for any occasion; work, evening outing, food shopping, anything! I do apologise if my latest looks haven’t been so dramatic, but there will be some coming soon! Let me know what you’re favourite Autumn looks are in the comments below!
