The year is coming to a close and the same thing is on everyone’s mind this time of year… What about New Year!? It’s okay, I’m here for you. I’ve got a couple of New Year looks for you guys and here’s the first!
It’s an incredibly easy look using only 2 shadow sticks and basic face make up to make the eyes pop. To begin I primed using Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Primer. I then applied a fair amount of Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation in Pebble to make my skin look flawless and dewy.
I then go ahead with my eyeshadow as always. I used two of my Bobbi Brown’s Shadow Sticks; Espresso Bean (black) and Smokey Topaz (brown). I put a small amount of Espresso Bean on my lid and blended out with a Zoeva eyeshadow brush. To finish off I applied a bit of Smokey Topaz to my crease and blended with Espresso Bean and above the crease slightly. This is a really dramatic, dark eye which you can also apply some liquid eyeliner with or some false lashes to go mega dramatic.
Once eyeshadow has been completed, I then go on to the rest of my complexion make up. I conceal under my eyes with Rimmel London’s Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory to hide my bags even more and to highlight this area too. I have been using Collection’s Highlight & Sculpt palette at the moment to see what it is like after hearing great things about it, and I can honestly say it’s an absolute winner! I use some on my cheekbones to define them and also on my jawline a bit, I then use the highlight on the tops of my cheeks. I lightly powder my chin, nose and forehead as these are where my make up can slip off most with some Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder.
To finish the look I applied some clear gloss to keep the look focussed on the eye make up. I feel like this would look too dramatic on me if I applied a bright or dark lipstick so I chose to stay nude.
Here’s the finished look:
