In case you missed it, let me update you… A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend attempted my makeup. I thought it would be fun to return the favour so he set me a target to reach 50 likes on a Facebook post. Well, we reached the target so here it is: I Do My Boyfriend’s Makeup! I attempted my Orange Fall Look as it’s a bit adventurous and fun, but trying to make up flawless on someone that wouldn’t stop moving or follow directions.

To start, I did apply primer, but the image has disappeared into thin air. I then went on to the foundation which did not match Connor’s olive complexion in the slightest, but I just needed to work with it. Concealer was used by the bucket load to try and cover his under-eyes, but the lighting isn’t really helping with showing them too. To set the face I just took a crap load of powder.

Due to my foundation and concealer being so light for him, he did look a bit ghostly. To try and revive him from looking so dead I used quite a lot of bronzer. I also used this to contour some cheekbones onto him. The brows were the bit that I struggled with the most as there was no shape or definition whatsoever. However, I did the best I could and I don’t think they’re absolutely horrendous. I’ve seen worse anyway, let’s just say that. The image is Connor reacting to seeing himself with drawn on brows, and me laughing at his reaction.

To finish of the face makeup, I did a little bit of blush and highlight to make his cheeks pop. I’m highlight obsessed so I love to pack it on, whereas Connor prefers minimal highlight. After seeing himself with his highlight on he’d “come to the conclusion I hate highlighter”. Silly, silly boy!

I finally moved onto eyes, but he refused to have eyeliner or mascara on so it does make it look really strange and incomplete. Like I mentioned at the beginning, I did my orange/brown look as I thought it would be interesting. I placed orange through the crease and blended out as much as possible. I have fairly hooded lids, but Connor’s are pretty non-existent to the eyes were challenging, but I think I pulled it off. To finish I put dark brown over the lid and blended into the orange.

To bring the entire look together I added a dark brown lipstick which Connor described as “the exact colour of shit”. Cool, thanks, babe! He then proceeded to make some beauty guru poses to finish off his ‘photoshoot’ which was quite entertaining to watch. He couldn’t have reached for the makeup wipes fast enough afterwards, he was hating wearing it so much!

The whole thing was so much fun, I found it really relaxing putting makeup on another person. It took me back to when I used to paint and draw all the time which was quite nice. How do you think I did? I don’t think it’s terrible for a first attempt doing someone’s full face of makeup really. I mean, it could’ve gone a lot worse right? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Connor hated every second of it, but has a new found respect for every makeup wearer in the world!
