If you haven’t heard of this palette, I want to know where you have been. The Modern Renaissance palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills is the latest eyeshadow palette to take the blogging world by storm. I recently got my hands on it – finally! – and I couldn’t wait to share my views on it with you all. There’s plenty of different tutorials coming up using it too as the possibilities are endless!
I truly believe there is no such thing as too many eyeshadows, so despite Connor’s protests I still had to buy this palette. There’s many things to make this palette absolutely perfect. The main thing that made me fall in love with it is the fact that this is an almost all matte shadow palette. 11 of the 14 shades are matte, what a dream come true! Even the shimmers are gorgeous and I would still use them, which is quite rare for me nowadays.
As I’d previously mentioned, the possibilities are endless with this. There is such a variety of shades, from neutral to pink and berry tones, to create an endless amount of looks. One things that the Modern Renaissance palette is renowned for is the pigmentation of the shadows. When I say that these shadows are the easiest to blend that I’ve ever used, it is not an exaggeration. The formulas are super creamy and easy to blend, it’s crazy! The tiniest amount goes a long way with these which I love – who wouldn’t, right!?
If you’d read my Alchemist palette review then you’d know that I mentioned that usually I don’t pay much attention to packaging. However, with this I couldn’t help but notice the individuality of this too. It’s the first palette I’ve come across to have the velvety kind of packaging like this one. I love that it’s so different to other palettes I own as it’s so distinguishable in my eyeshadow draw.
After using this palette a few times I’m already obsessed with it. It’s fair to say that for the next few months I’m going to be reaching for this more than any other palette I own. I know it’s not the most Spring looking palette, but it can’t be helped. It’s too nice not to use for any occasion; work, nights out, date nights. Modern Renaissance is a staple, in my eyes, for any makeup lover out there!
