Eyeshadow is probably my favourite thing to buy – well, and lipstick. Over the last year or two I’ve built up my collection, and I’m finally starting to enjoy all of the palettes I have. I’ve wanted to talk about my collection for a while, but I’ve been so stuck how to do it. I didn’t know whether to do a mini review for each palette. However, this post would be so long, so I decided to do a chatty one.

The first palette I properly remember buying, with the intention of building a collection, is my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. Ever since then I’ve been buying so many. I am very specific when it comes to what palettes to buy though, I won’t buy a palette for the sake of it. Personally, I’ve never seen the point in buying a palette just for one shade. In case you can’t tell, a lot of these palettes have been influenced by bloggers and Instagram! I don’t mind though, you can never have too many.

Obviously, I need to spread the love. Although, I don’t want to give too much away because I do have a top 5 post coming soon. I couldn’t write about my collection without mentioning those palettes that have helped me grow my makeup game. One palette that stands out the most for me is my Balm Jovi by The Balm palette. I remember getting this palette so clearly, and I used it so much when I did. Another palette that stands out for me is my Modern Renaissance (of course). I mean, you know how much I love this palette if you’ve seen my review or tutorials. It’s just so stunning, and it’s helped me experiment with colour so I am really thankful for this palette.

They’re not a palette, but I do also want to mention the Bobbi Brown shimmer sticks. I’ve had them for so long, but I still always turn to these if I’m in a rush and need a pretty look for a meal, night out or even work. They’ve been in my collection for so long, but they’re still going strong. They still have a special place in my heart.

Some of these palettes, I have to admit, I really use. I just don’t get round to using them all all the time, as you can imagine. My No7 Ultimate Collection is one in particular that I want to start using more – especially with it being Summer now. It is full of bright colours that will look so beautiful at this time of year! I’ve also been seeing a lot of people using some w7 palettes recently, so I also want to use them a lot more. I’m such a bandwagon kind of gal, anything anyone is using I want to try straight away! I tend to get attached to products very easily, which is why I stick to what I know and love.

I’m sure my collection will be growing so much more in the future, and I’ll make sure to post first impressions and reviews as and when. However, I want your opinions. Are there any palettes that I should have? I’m always looking for new palettes to try, drugstore or high end. I’ll just have to keep it a secret from Connor because he’ll gasp in horror (again).

Also, I am hoping to eventually get round to a review on each of these, so do let me know which you want first too. Once I know which is most in demand, I’ll be able to get cracking and also get some tutorials up using them too. Keep an eye out for more collection posts in the future – lipstick could be a fun one to do.
